Charlotte Nerds & Gamers Meetup – FAQ
Hosted at Luck Factory Games in Concord, NC
About Us
Who are we?
Charlotte Nerds & Gamers (CltN&G) is the largest nerdy social meetup group in the Carolinas! We bring together people who love tabletop games, video games, anime, escape rooms, comics, and all things geek culture.
Where do we meet?
Most of our events take place at Luck Factory Games, North Carolina’s largest board game café, located in Gibson Mill in Concord. We also occasionally host off-site adventures like escape rooms, movie outings, and other local activities.
Who can join?
Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re new to the area, a lifelong gamer, or just looking for a place to make friends, this is your group. We’re inclusive of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels.
What makes us special?
We’re a friendly, welcoming community where you can show up solo or with friends and instantly find people ready to play, laugh, and connect.
About Our Events
What kinds of events do you host?
We host a wide variety of experiences designed to help you connect with others:
-
Board game nights (with over 1,000+ games to choose from!)
-
Dungeons & Dragons and TTRPG sessions
-
Trivia nights, social deduction games, and megagames
-
Themed parties and special events
-
Occasional off-site adventures like escape rooms or movies
Each event includes staff or community hosts to help teach games and introduce people, so you’ll never feel out of place.
How do I find event details?
Every event has a full description on the Meetup page, including start time, cost, and what to expect. Luck Factory Games has food, drinks, snacks, and craft beer available for purchase.
RSVP & Attendance
How do RSVPs work?
Events often fill up, so please RSVP only if you’re confident you can attend. If plans change, update your RSVP right away so someone else can join.
What if I’m running late?
No problem! Just message the host or the event thread so we know you’re still coming.
Is there a cost to attend?
Most events are at Luck Factory Games, which has an $8 admission for all-day play, which includes access to the game library. Some special events may have additional costs (like escape rooms or ticketed experiences), which will be clearly listed in the event description.
Community & Conduct
What’s expected of members?
We want everyone to have a great time, so we ask all members to:

Be kind and respectful to others.
-
Use welcoming language.
-

-
Keep discussions and content appropriate for a public, inclusive space.
